Kuduremukh

Kuduremukh is a mountain range and name of a peak located in Chikkamagaluru district is and Karnataka's 2nd highest peak after Mullayangiri.

It is about 48 kilometres from Karkala and around 20 kilometres from Kalasa. The name Kuduremukha refers to a particular picturesque view of a side of the mountain that resembles a horse's face.

Baba Budangiri is a mountain in the Baba Budan range of the Western Ghats of India, Located in the Chikkamagaluru District of Karnataka.

Baba Budangiri is known for its shrine to the Sufi saint Hazrat Dada Hayat Khalandar, a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Muslims. Sangh parivar organizations started "Datta Jayanti" celebrations.

Bhadra Wild Life Sanctuary


Bhadra Wild Life Sanctuary

Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area and a tiger reserve located 38 km Northwest of Chikkamagaluru. Bhadra sanctuary has a wide range of flora and fauna and is a popular place for day outings.

An estimated 33 tigers are found in Bhadra. Other mammals in the sanctuary include elephant, gaur, sloth bear, wild boar, black leopard, jungle cat etc,.



Hebbe Falls

Hebbe Falls are situated at about 10 km away from the famous hill station Kemmangundi. This waterfalls are inside a coffee estate and can be reached either by walk or four-wheeler.

It is one of the best eye treat places. Hebbe Falls gushes down from a height of 551 ft[1] in two stages to form Dodda Hebbe (Big Falls) and Chikka Hebbe (Small Falls.)

Belur / Halebidu


Belur / Halebidu

Built after Shantala Devi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana, the Chennakeshava temple on the northern side stands on a platform like a casket in shining black soft stone - chlorite schist covered with variety of gods and goddesses, animals, birds and dancing girls.
The temple took 190 years to build requiring skills of more than 20,000 laborers. It has a Museum on the lawns that showcases 12th century sculptures and gold coins in use at the time. One km from Halebid is Basti hill with Jain bastis with gleaming black stone pillars.



Devaramane Betta

Devaramane is a village in Mudigere Taluk, Chikkamagaluru district in the state of Karnataka, India. The village is renowned for its Kalabhairaveshwara temple.The primary mode of employment in the Devaramane region is agriculture. Crops grown include coffee, rice, finger millet, pepper, cardamom with paddy being dominant.
It is just 30kms from Chikmagalur. Banavara and Arasikere are also close to Mudigere.

Charmadi Ghat


Charmadi Ghat

Charmadi Ghat is a Ghat in Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada and Mudigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru. It is one of the points in Western ghats through which motor able road passes connecting Dakshina Kannada with Chikkamagaluru district. Nearest places are Charmadi village, Kottigehara, Balur Estate and Banakal.
Charmadi Ghat starts from Charmadi village(11 km from Ujire) and ends at Kottigehara(14 km from Mudigere).



Angadi

Angadi is a small village located at a distance of 18 Km from Mudigere in Chikmagalur district. Angadi is the birth place of HoySala, who rose to great power in South India. This place is also identified as Sasakapura or Sosevur.

The main attraction of Angadi is Durga or Vasantha Parameshwari Temple located on a hillock. This temple has pillars of granite with cylindrical beams and hemi spherical moldings. The temple has been renovated and well maintained.

Belavadi Temple


Belavadi Temple

The Veera Narayana temple is located in Belavadi, a village in the Chikkamagaluru district. The temple was built during the rule of the Hoysala Empire. Known to legend as Ekachakranagara, Belavadi is said to be the place mentioned in Mahabharatha where Pandava prince Bheema killed the demon Bakasura and protected the village and its people.

Belavadi is 29 km southeast of Chikmagalur town on the Chikmagalur-Javagal highway. It is a short distance from the famous temple towns of Belur and Halebidu, and a visit to this town is a rewarding experience.
